What is Advanced Dental Excellence, and how are you different from other dental offices?
Advanced Dental Excellence is our commitment to our patients to provide them with the broadest range and highest standards of modern, state-of-the-art dentistry. Our goal is to provide our patients with predictable, comfortable, long-lasting, well-functioning, cost-effective, and aesthetically pleasing dental solutions. Throughout my dental career I have continued to participate in extensive post-doctorate education and training, and I have a strong personal commitment to the advancement of dental sciences. Because of this commitment I am able to provide patients with a high caliber of comprehensive specialty dentistry including the latest advancements in aesthetic, implant and restorative dentistry. I am dedicated to maintaining an exceptional level of knowledge and skill in a science that is constantly evolving. My passion is to "raise the bar" in general, family, and cosmetic dentistry. Patients should expect and receive a level of skill and services well above and beyond what is generally available to them today in many dental offices. This is especially true in the bandwagon field of "cosmetic dentistry". Too often those who advertise themselves as being a "cosmetic dentist" do not have the post-doctorate education and training that reflects a strong commitment to excellence in restorative dentistry. Dr. Jim Hinkle II Dr. Hinkle specializes in cosmetic and restorative dentistry in Alameda serving patients from all over the San Francisco and East Bay areas including Oakland, Alameda, San Leandro, Berkeley, Fremont, Orinda, Moraga, Walnut Creek, Albany, Hayward, Emeryville, and San Francisco.

Why should I consider becoming a patient?
Our goal is to achieve a lifetime of the best possible oral health for all our patients. We begin by actively listening to every patient. We want to know what patients have to say because we want to understand their concerns so we can provide them with the care they want and deserve. The next step is a comprehensive New Patient Exam during which I use an intra-oral camera to show the patient the status of their oral health. This is done in a supportive, non-judgmental way so that every patient feels comfortable, respected, and valued. From this comprehensive first exam, we design an individualized prevention-based dental care program for the patient. This program is customized to the patient and is based on achieving our goal of “best possible oral health” for our patients. Any proposed dental treatment is fully explained by me personally, and I explain in detail all options available for treatment. Our Treatment Coordinator will discuss with the patient all fees related to the treatment options as well as the options available for payment. Once the patient has made an informed choice for treatment and payment, the Treatment Coordinator will schedule the necessary appointments at the patient’s convenience. Call our office (510) 521-3344, ask for Lisa, and schedule your New Patient appointment. I look forward to meeting and serving you. Dr. Jim Hinkle II

Full-Mouth Restoration - A NonSurgical Face Lift!
Modern restorative dentistry can rebuild any mouth into a beautiful, comfortable, fully-functioning smile. Advanced Dental Excellence is committed to providing the best restorative services available today. In our approach to a full mouth restoration, we do a case four times to ensure the highest level of comfort and function and to produce long lasting and esthetically pleasing (cosmetic) results. During the first visit we do a comprehensive workup that would include an exam, impressions, photographs, and any x-rays needing to be updated. Just as importantly I spend time with our patients discussing how they visual the final results. We then would use the photographs to visual the restoration. This first visit would take approximately one hour. Next I do the restoration on diagnostically-mounted models of the patient's mouth. This allows me to show the patient on the second visit exactly what the treatment options are, the costs, and how it will look. The patient's costs up to this point are approximately $300. The patient then decides if they want to continue on with the proposed teatment and when. Thirdly, I use this “blue print” to make provisional restorations allowing the patient to preview the final result in his/her mouth. We would make any final modifications at that time. Lastly, based on the provisional restorations that the patient has approved, our lab would make the final restorations using the highest quality materials. A full-mouth restoration not only restores comfort and function, it also has a major impact on the patient's appearance. Our full-mouth restorations will enhance your looks. You will appear younger and more attractive and without the pain and risks associated with plastic surgery. Our restorations last longer than face lifts and are a fraction of the cost too.
