Alameda, California dentist, Dr. James "Jim" Hinkle II, DDS, MAGD, has been named one of the best dentists in America by Woodward/White, Inc. The Best Dentists in America publication, representing eight specialties in all 50 states and Washington, DC, was compiled using a peer-review survey in which thousands of the top dentists in the U.S. confidentially evaluated their professional peers. The inaugural edition of Best Dentists (2004-2005), was based on more than 150,000 detailed evaluations of dentists by other dentists. Hinkle says, "Being recognized by one's peers is the highest and certainly most gratifying honor."

Jim discovered Alameda while serving in the Navy during the 70s. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Hinkle moved to Alameda after completing his military commitment and before attending Georgetown University's Dental School. He has been in private practice in Alameda since 1982. Dr. Hinkle and his family reside in Alameda.
